Hanoi may not be the first place you think of when it comes to nightlife, girls and sex, as it still stands in the shadow of the much nicer and more developed Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in the south – and that won’t be changing any time soon, because there are just so many more bars, clubs and other places to meet girls.
However, chances are that you will still be spending at least one or two nights in the capital city of Vietnam – even if it’s just a base for your trip to Halong Bay or Sapa, or you start or finish your travels around Vietnam here.
And then you will surely, like 100%, be asking yourself where you can meet a hot Vietnamese girl for sex. Or maybe just for a happy ending massage. Whatever you feel like, and depending on if you want to pay for it or not, you’ve got a few options.
The main nightlife area in Hanoi is around Walking Street in the Old Quarter (see black flag pin on the map below), which is also the main tourist area with the majority of hotels, foreign restaurants, bars, massages, girls etc.
1. Online Dating Site
If you want to meet girls in Hanoi that are both super attractive and fun to hang out with, using a dating site is probably your best option. Seeking Arrangement is a hugely popular dating site both among expats in the country as well as tourists who want to meet up with nice local ladies.
And what’s great about this site (apart from the thousands of sexy women online at any daytime) is that you can arrange your dates conveniently from at home, even before starting your trip, means you don’t waste any time.
2. Bars
Hanoi has no girly bars comparable to the hostess bars in Saigon, but instead you’ll find a couple of places with freelancers in the Old Quarter.
Tom’s Bar (picture) is popular among these sexy Vietnamese girls – and lots of single guys who want to get laid.
Corner Pub nearby is my favorite bar in Hanoi. It has the best pool table, lots of expats and lots of friendly girls too. And Fat Cat Bar (first picture of the guide) is a small but neat place to take a girl for a date. Great place to watch the steady stream of people on Walking Street.
3. Nightclubs
The nightclubs in the Old Quarter are where most tourists try to hook up with a girl at night, but like I already mentioned, these places are full of prostitutes, and not few of them have crazy price expectations (like 1 million for short time), so good luck with that.
1900 Le Theatre on Walking Street (left picture and video below) and Hangover Bar (right picture) are the most popular clubs that attract countless of sexy ladies (and horny dudes of all ages) every single night.
4. Massages
There are two types of “special” massages in Hanoi:
The small massage salons in the Old Quarter (yellow pins on the map below) where you can get a decent massage for about 300-400k as well as a happy ending (hand job) for a certain “tip”, which is negotiable (usually around 300k, but no more than 500k, no matter how young, thin, busty or charming your lady is).
And then there are also the “VIP Massages” (blue pins on the map below) which offer full sex service. They are well outside the tourist areas in different parts of Hanoi. The best way is to go by Grab car or bike.
Lady Windy Spa, Emperor Men’s Spa and Fortuna Hotel Massage are some of the most popular sex massages in Hanoi.
5. Karaoke Bars
The Karaoke Bars on Bui Thi Xuan Street, often also known as KTVs, are the most popular type of place among wealthy Vietnamese men to spend some time with young and sexy girls – without the wife knowing it because it’s all very discrete.
I wouldn’t recommend you to go to these places as a foreigner though, just too many scams and even if not – you’ll still end up paying way more than the local guys.
